While some of the 2010s can be enjoyed young, Dominus is a powerhouse that will require a number of years to soften. It is a bit of a shame the 2010 is served early in this dinner, as it is truly magnificent. Tasted over several hours and into the next day, the 2010 only continued to grow. A wine of baritone-like depth and explosive structure, the Dominus is a long-distance runner. On this night it is dark, imposing and totally vertical in its sense of structure. The firm tannins beg for patience. Today, my impression is that Dominus will be one of the last 2010s to open up."

- 97 Punkte FALSTAFF, Peter Moser: "Dunkles Rubingranat, gute Farbtiefe, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Tabakig unterlegter Kräuterwürze, zarter Edelholztouch, saftige dunkle Beerenfrucht, Nuancen von Cassis und Lakritze, aber auch Anklänge von Nougat und Kardamom. Stoffig, extraktsüße Textur, eleganter Körper, feines Säuregerüst integriert, tragende, aber reife Tannine, reife Pflaumenfrucht im Nachhall, bleibt lange haften, ist in diesem relativ frühen Stadium bereits sehr gut antrinkbar, verfügt über weiteres Entwicklungspotenzial."

- 96 Punkte DECANTER, William Kelley: "A brooding bouquet of cassis, wild berries, pencil shavings and exotic spice is followed by a deep, layered and intense wine, framed by fine tannins and bright acidity. There is a vibrancy and energy to this wine that makes it particularly compelling, no doubt partly thanks to the long, cool growing season, but also in keeping with all the work Dominus has been doing in their vineyards to balance the vines and prevent sun burn.
