Vinification & Aging: Night-time harvesting. Careful selection of the purest most elegant must from the press. Cold settling for 48 hours. Fermentation and aging in stainless steel tank at lower temperatures.
Tasting notes: A charming delicate pink rosé with crisp, pure aromas of light strawberry and lemon. On tasting the depth of flavor marries superb freshness and soft fruit (papaya and melon) character. Lively and delicious.“

Very pretty florals on the nose and, like their Domaine St-Blaise rosé, saturated with sweet, ripe fruit. Strawberries, raspberries and red grapefruit, but there is also a cheeky little nip of lime peel adding fragrance to the long, mouth-watering acidity, and a subtle chalkiness in the finish. Alaina is named after the daughter of Laurent and Neasa Miquel, the Franco-Irish couple based at Laurent’s family estate Château Cazal Viel in Languedoc. He's the 8th generation winemaker. This wine, a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault, comes from Château Auzines, the estate the couple bought high up in Corbières in the foothills of the Pyrenees. 12.5%. 570g.“

Ein gutes Händchen hat er für Weißweine und auch für diesen wunderbaren Roséwein, der für mich viele berühmtere Roséweine aus der benachbarten Provence in den Schatten stellt. Unter anderem durch die rechtzeitige Lese, sogar in den frühen Morgenstunden um kühle Trauben in den Keller zu bekommen, hat der Wein eine wunderbare Frische, die gemeinsam mit einer lebendigen Mineralität die attraktive Frucht ausbalanciert. Er ist präzise, mundwässernd und hat eine gute Länge. Ach ja, die Flasche ist auch noch hübsch, insgesamt ein Wein mit einem exzellenten Preis-Genuß-Verhältnis!“
