- 91 Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, Lisa Perrotti-Brown: „The 2016 Teyssier is made up of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc aged in 25% new French oak. It has a medium garnet-purple color and reveals baked plums, warm blackberries and black cherry compote notes with touches of garrigue, pencil lead and cloves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate gives up loads of fresh, vibrant black fruits with a velvety texture and great freshness, finishing long with plenty of earthy sparks.“

- 90-92 Punkte WINE ENTHUSIAST, Roger Voss: „Barrel Sample. This wine is spicy and fruity, with fine tannins. The fine structure and the fruit are already harmonious. With ripe black currants and berries, this is an immediately attractive wine.“

- 91 Punkte VINOUS, Antonio Galloni: „The 2016 Teyssier has turned out beautifully. Soft, floral and silky, the 2016 Teyssier is a terrific introduction to the vintage. Sweet dark cherry, plum, mocha, espresso and spice are nicely lifted in this suave, supple Saint-Émilion. Bright, floral notes appear on the finish to add perfume and lift. The 2016 is even more impressive than it was from barrel. Even better, it is one of the more modestly priced Saint-Émilions in the market, with a level of production that also makes it relatively easy to source. Once again, Jonathan Maltus and his team have done a fabulous job with their most visible wine. I would prefer to drink the 2016 over the next handful of years.“

- 90 Punkte JEB DUNNUCK: „The 2016 Château Teyssier is a beauty. Black cherries, mulberries, cedary herbs, and dried flower notes all flow to a medium-bodied, balanced, vibrant wine that has some tannins to shed, but it offers beautiful purity of fruit.“
