In the heart of the town of Pauillac where Lafayette set sail in 1777 for America, Maison Louis Vialard rekindles the spirit and tradition of the wine merchants of old. Enlightened travellers, exploring the world for consumer trends and enthusiastically searching for new encounters, they chartered magnificent ships and filled their holds with the prestigious wines from the surrounding vineyards. Wines that have since been officially ranked in the 1855 classification of Grands Crus Classés, as well as other great wines from both banks of the Bordeaux winegrowing region. Sailboats and steamships journeyed to faraway shores around the world, from east to west, gently rocking the barrels to the rhythm of the waves and the winds. They carried with them a sense of taste and elegance, a way of life. A genuine philosophy. From “Villa Estuaire” in Pauillac, the company safeguards the original spirit of the founder, Mr Louis Vialard, a wine merchant serving the finest venues around the world. TASTING NOTES The wine is enveloped in beautiful folds of garnet, with depth and intensity on the nose. A smooth, velvety attack, which develops into a wonderfully structured wine boasting the spicy notes typically associated with perfectly ripe cabernet-sauvignon. Excellent length on the palate, this is a wine to be enjoyed now, with very good ageing potential. Drink between 2021 and 2031.
