Gorgeous black raspberry, darker cherry, loamy earth, tobacco leaf, and chalky minerality all define the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied, has a seamless, beautifully balanced mouthfeel, and a great finish. It's one classy, balanced, elegant 2019 that will evolve for 15+ years.“ 2022-2038

- 92 DECANTER Georgina Hindle (01/2022): „Coffee bean aromas on the nose with some liquorice spice. Fully tannic on the palate but filled with plush, juicy, chewy fruits so not austere just mouth filling. Mouthwatering acidity underpins the fruit and this has a great cooling effect in the mouth almost from start to finish. A serious style, well defined and sculpted.“

Precise and focused, needs a few years to soften and is extremely promising. Axel Marchal consultant for the second year here. One to watch. A yield of 47hl/ha. Drinking Window 2025 – 2040"

- VINOUS, Antonio Galloni: "The 2019 de Ferrand is a very pretty wine that shows the more refined side of Saint-Émilion. Cabernet Franc inflections come through in the wine's floral, lifted aromatics. Bright red cherry fruit, blood orange, mint, cinnamon and cedar add to an impression of brightness. This mid-weight, polished Saint-Émilion has a ton to offer."

- Punkte VINOUS, Neal Martin: "The 2019 de Ferrand offers attractive blackberry, boysenberry and sous-bois aromas on the nose, touches of rose petal emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, good depth, brown spices sprinkled over the red berry fruit with a harmonious and persistent finish. Very promising."
