Based on 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13.5% Merlot, and 1.5% Petit Verdot and aged 18 months in 15% new barrels, it's medium-bodied on the palate, with a concentrated, multi-dimensional mouthfeel, pure, polished tannins, and a great finish. This smokingly good beauty is flawlessly balanced and will shine for three decades if well stored. Don't miss this. It's worth a case purchase. Drink 2029-2056.“

Beautifully delineated tannins, fruit purity, lifted acidity, brightness and length. Extremely well made, soft winemaking but there’s plenty of texture and material here. Streamlined and focused. Certainly less plump and heady than some but it’s effortless and brilliant. I love it. A wine you will want to drink again and again. 2029-2048“

From there you find truffle, red and black fruits, cigar box and cedar also come IT is It is the striking nose powered by violets, and lilacs that gets the wine going, before finding all the currants, black cherries, mint, and spice in the perfume. On the palate, the wine is lush, energetic, long, deep, and rich. There is purity, paired with opulence in the long, vibrant, velvet-textured finish, with just a hint of chalk that appears on the backend. The wine is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13.5% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot. Once aging, this is a new, record-setting percentage of Cabernet in the blend. 14% Press wine. 13.5% ABV, 3.6 pH. The harvest took place September 7 - September 20. Yields were 30 hectoliters per hectare. The Grand Vin was produced from 50% of the harvest. Drink from 2029-2065.“

Deep, dark and enveloping. Great nose! Has gloss and precision, with some lifted, floral notes. Supple tannins adorn the palate with subtle oak providing additional structure. Could be enjoyed young but there is a lot more to come here. Shows a lovely balance between ripe dark fruit, new oak and classic bordeaux style. Another success from Rauzan-Ségla. 2026-2036.“
