Offering up aromas of dark berries, orange rind, peonies and vine smoke, it's medium to full-bodied, with powdery tannins and a sapid, succulent core of fruit. It will appeal to readers who gravitate toward Cabernet Franc.“

Crushed red berry fruit, mint, rose petal, spice and dried flowres are all nicely woven together in this silky, mid-weight Saint-Emilion. I would give this a few years in the cellar, but it should drink well with minimal time.“

- 93 Punkte JEB DUNNUCK: „Coming from vines located between Cheval Blanc and Figeac, from more sandy soils, the 2020 Château La Tour Figeac reveals a deep ruby/purple hue as well as gorgeous aromatics of red and black fruits, loamy earth, flowers, and spice. Pure elegance on the palate, it's not massive and offers more medium-bodied richness, yet has terrific mid-palate depth, ripe, polished tannins, and a great finish. This is a great vintage for this estate, and while it’s already hard to resist, this beauty should evolve for 15-20 years in cold cellars.“

- 92 Punkte DECANTER, Georgina Hindle: „Striking nose, full on, potent and heady. Less plush on the palate than expected. More sleek and cool red and blue fruits than jammy or over extracted. Still lots of tension here, the oak aspects restricting some of the enjoyment at this stage, but sleek and well defined. A spiced aspect is clear with toast and smoke and lots of sticky black liquorice so wait a few years before opening. Good clarity, feels well worked with energy. 2025-2040“

- 92 Punkte JANE ANSON: „Powerful depth of colour and flavour. This starts out well, with pep, just loses a little power through the mid palate, but picks itself back up with a peppery finish. A little held back by the tannic structure at this point, with the low yields giving extra intensity, but no question there is real momentum here. In the third year of organic conversion. A yield of 20hl/ha. New harvest reception in this vintage with an additional round of grape sorting. 2026-2040.“
