Refuso ist eine spannungsgeladene Cuvée aus sechs verschiedenen Mikroparzellen mit sehr alten Reben (60–80 Jahre), gelegen zwischen Buttrio und Manzano am südlichen Rand der Colli Orientali. Die Trauben werden gemeinsam als Gemischter Satz geerntet und vinifiziert. Die Weinberge beherbergen verschiedene Friulano-Varianten sowie kleinere Anteile von Picolit, Verduzzo, Malvasia, Ribolla Gialla und Moscato; von typischen „Ponca“-Böden der Region, Mergel (kalkhaltiger Ton), geschichtet mit Sandstein; Double Guyot; Ertrag 30 hl/ha; Handlese in kleine Kisten; schonende Ganztraubenpressung, Gärung und Ausbau für 9-10 Monate in Eichenholzfässern ohne jedes neue Holz; Verzicht auf Malolaktik um die Frische zu bewahren; bevor der Wein in den Verkauf kommt wird er noch 6 Monate in der Flasche gelagert; Verwendung hochwertiger Naturkorken;
- Notizen des Weinguts: “ On the nose: nectarine, citron, summer melon, white flowers, noble spices, chalky/mineral notes. Taut and firm. On the palate: full-bodied, elegant, persistent, with good structure and freshness.“

Im Weinberg: A cuvée from six distinct micro-plots of very old vines (60–80 years), located between Buttrio and Manzano on the southern edge of the Colli Orientali. The grapes are harvested and vinified together as a field blend. The vineyards host various friulano biotypes, along with small interspersed quantities of picolit, verduzzo, malvasia, ribolla gialla, and moscato. Soil Typical “ponca” soils, marls (chalky clay) stratified with sandstone. Ponca is a distinctive type of soil found in Friuli Venezia Giulia and in some neighboring areas of Slovenia. It is composed of very ancient Eocene marls and sandstones, which tend to crumble easily over time. This soil is low in organic matter but extremely rich in minerals, forcing the vine to send its roots deep into the ground. In wines, ponca imparts pronounced minerality, salinity, and vibrant freshness. The resulting wines are elegant, taut, and long-lived, with fine and complex aromas and a structure that allows for excellent aging potential—especially in white wines.
Im Weinkeller: Vinification Classic style vinification, with whole-bunch grape pressing and fermentation in old barrels. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation and is aged for 9–10 months, followed by an additional 6 months in the bottle.

Notizen des Weinguts: Ronc Platât winery is based just below the 9th century Abbazia di Rosazzo - Rosazzo Abbey - in the Manzano, a beautiful village nested in the suburbs of the town Udine, Friuli. The winemaking project started in 2020 by Tommaso Zanuttini, grow up there but studied and practiced law in Milan, until deciding on a total change of career and life and decided to make wine. After graduating in Enology at the university of Udine, thanks to the help and inspiration of winemakers from Ronco del Gnemiz and Due del Monte he managed to quickly establish the winery, and start producing wines of terroir, elegance and maturity. The majority of the wines come from old vineyards which are fully managed by Tommaso and his small team throughout the year; a minority of grapes come from other selected sites from where he buys the grapes - a bit like a “negociant” approach. The majority of the vineyards are within the DOC Friuli Colli Orientali, with a few exceptions in DOC Collio and in the more generic DOC Friuli; the vineyards Tommaso manages are under Organic conversion with the certification coming in May this year. All vines are trained with Guyot system and yields are kept really tiny during spring, ranging between 2-4 tonnes per hectare. The only treatments made throughout the year are Bordeaux mixture (copper sulfate) plus sulfur and natural adjuvants and adhesives such as algae, and the vineyards are harvested by hand in small cases. In 2022 the total production was 16,000 bottles whereas in 2025 there has been an increase to 28,000 bottles.
