- NOTIZEN DES WEINGUTS: „The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for the 2018 Le Roi Soleil for are from the Nosotros Vineyard, sustainably farmed and located in the highly acclaimed Mount Veeder appellation at 2,000 feet elevation. Winemaking: 100% naturally fermented using native yeasts. Barrel aged for 20 months. 75 % new French Oak from Tonnellerie de Jarnac.
Tasting Notes: Our 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Le Roi Soleil is a classic and distinctive rendition of Mount Veeder grown Cabernet grapes. 2018 vintage is excellent because of the near perfect growing conditions. The nose exhibits intense, bright blue and dark fruit with a wild mountain character. It shows a lush mouthfeel with bold tannic structure and a great balance between richness and energy. High mountain fruit brings deep and dense black fruit and foresty notes. The refined and well integrated French oak adds layers and complexity to the mouth feel. Very long finish and great aging potential. What makes Mount Veeder such as special place to make distinctive wines? Called “the smallest and most unique appellation in the Napa Valley” by the Wine Spectator Magazine, Mount Veeder features some of the steepest and most remote vineyards in all of California. The appellation volcanic soils and 1500 feet plus elevation mountain climate create the perfect conditions with longer sun exposure (but lower temperatures than the Valley floor), later ripening grapes that are deeply and intensely flavored.“

Sehr attraktiver Rückgeschmack. Ein großer Wein, sehr beeindruckend und präzise, luxuriös und großzügig – der Sonnenkönig macht seinem Namen alle Ehre! Zalto Bordeaux Glas.
