- 90 Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, William Kelley: "The 2017 Chassagne-Montrachet is a lovely introduction to Colin's style, wafting from the glass with aromas of yellow orchard fruit, honeycomb and a subtle touch of praline. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny and succulent, with a generous core of vibrant fruit and a nicely defined finish. This will offer a broad drinking window."

- 92 Punkte WINESPECTATOR, Bruce Sanderson: "A smooth-textured white, studded with peach, vanilla cream and lime blossom aromas and flavors. Balanced, with bright acidity carrying the finish. Drink now through 2024. 1,225 cases made."

- 92-94 Punkte VINOUS, Antonio Galloni: "(aging in 50% new oak and 50% once-used barrels): Bright yellow. Aromas of yellow fruits, white flowers, marzipan and minerals are complicated by a sexy leesy quality and some sweet oak notes. Very rich, thick wine with terrific concentration and ripe acidity; flavors of yellow fruits, flowers, spices, crushed rock and hazelnut spread out to saturate the palate without leaving any impression of weight. Finishes tactile and unflagging but at the same time subtle and quite suave, without any of the youthful aggressiveness shown by the Demoiselles."

- 96 Punkte DECANTER, Tim Atkin: "Globetrotting Philippe Colin may be based in Chassagne-Montrachet, but he's not averse to travelling to South Africa or even neighbouring Puligny-Montrachet for that matter, where he owns 0.28ha of this grand cru. The 2017 is rich, sappy and waxy, a focussed and deftly oaked wine with notes of orange zest and waxed lemons. Drinking Window 2021 ? 2027"
