50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot; 14,0 % vol; 39 ha Weinberge an der Appellationsgrenze zu Margaux, zwischen Chateau Giscours und Chateau Cantemerle gelegen; durchschnittlich 35 Jahre alte Reben; 27 verschiedene Parzellen; doppeltes, manuelles Sortieren des Lesegutes; temperaturkontrollierte Gärung, Ausbau für 12-15 Monate in französischen Barriques von 8 verschiedenen Küfern, 35 % neue Fässer; beraten von Hubert de Bouard (Chateau Angelus).

- 18 Punkte RENE GABRIEL: "Sattes Purpur-Granat, dicht in der Mitte, lila Schimmer aussen. Delikates Bouquet, vielschichtig mit einem herrlich reifen Brombeerenton in der Mitte. Der Gaumen zeigt viel Souplesse, reife Tannine und der Körper wirkt lang und geschmeidig. Toll gelungen. Der beste seit 2010. 2022-2038."

- 92 Punkte und "Editors' Choice" WINE ENTHUSIAST: "Close to some of the top Margaux vineyards, this estate regularly produces some fine wines. This bottling is beautifully structured, firm with tannins and also generous with black fruits. A high percentage of Merlot gives a particularly ripe and juicy wine that will age over the medium-term. Drink from 2022."

- 90-92 Punkte FALSTAFF: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung, frische Herzkirschen, zart nach Zwetschken, ein Hauch von Dörrobst, kandierte Orangenzesten, Mittlerer Körper, gute Balance und frische, feine Tannine, rotbeeriger Nachhall, trinkfreudiger Stil, unkomplizierter Speisenbegleiter."

- 91 Punkte JAMES SUCKLING: "Big black fruits and a ton of ripe tannins make this a dramatic wine that would be hard not to like. The balance is really good and that makes it delicious right now. If it were a bit more complex it would rate even more highly."

- 90 Punkte JEB DUNNUCK: "Another little gem Cru Bourgeois is the 2015 Château Cambon La Pelouse which comes from close to equal amounts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with roughly 4% Petit Verdot. It offers a darker edge in its blackcurrant, underbrush, tobacco and earthy aromatics, is medium-bodied, beautifully concentrated, and has building tannin. It's absolutely worth seeking out and will drink nicely for a decade or more."

This is so enjoyable, less density and chewiness here than some of the others but it's fresh, bright and lively. Almost a light body, light on the tongue, not delicate so much but refined and expressive in the best way. This just wants to have fun. Bright and balanced, not a massive blockbuster but so well defined and refined. One of the wines of the tasting. Drink now for really easy drinking pleasure. 2% Cabernet Franc completes the blend. Drinking Window 2021 – 2030.“

56% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18 % Cabernet Franc; 4 ha kalkhaltiger Lehm (argilo-calcaire) und tiefgründiger Kies; selektive Handlese in kleine Kisten; optische Auslese; temperaturkontrollierte Gärung, Ausbau in sorgfältig ausgewählten Barriques für 11 Monate.

- 91 Punkte DECANTER, Jane Anson: "Beautifully structured lesser-known wine. Relaxed fresh redcurrant fruit and a floral touch and mouthwatering salinity on the finish. Subtle, easy, elegant, medium term drinking. Xavier Beaumartin of Ch Laroque in St Emilion bought this estate in 2006 and he reworking the vineyard. Oenologist Serge Charritte is the winemaker. Drinking Window 2023 – 2033."

- 91-92 Punkte JAMES SUCKLING: "A fine and tender red with blueberry and plum aromas and flavors. Hints of licorice. Silky tannins. A tiny production red from four hectares. A blend of mostly merlot with cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. Same owners as St. Emilion’s Laroque."

- 90-92 Punkte WINE ENTHUSIAST, Roger Voss: "Barrel Sample. This wine is packed with black currant flavors. The layers of tannins are well integrated with the bright acidity and spicy finish."

- JoS, verkostet im April 2021: "Mittleres bis kräftiges Rubinrot, kräftige Schlierenbildung; feine Aromen von schwarzen und roten Früchten, Cassis, Weißbrotkruste, Röstaromen, Vanille, Espresso, dunkle Schokolade; am Gaumen kraftvoll und intensiv, herrliche Frucht, mittlere Säure, sanfte Tannine mit zartem Biss; mundwässernd, fein cremig, attraktiv und balanciert, mineralisch unterlegt, auch Kräuter und ein gewisses Feuer, langer Abgang und ein mundwässernder, angenehmer Rückgeschmack. Legt mit Lufteinfluß zu, daher unbedingt Dekantieren. Zalto-Universal-Glas. Wenn er geatmet hat, erinnert er mich ein wenig an Chateau Seguin, vielleicht nicht ganz so druckvoll, jedoch mundwässernder."

Chateau Fleur la Mothe das Weingut gehört drei Önologen gemeinsam und meiner Meinung nach kann man das erschmecken, die Weine haben Tiefgang, Komplexität und Klasse! 45% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon und 10% Petit Verdot.

- 90 Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE: "Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Fleur la Mothe has a wonderful bouquet, very pure with perfumed black cherry and boysenberry fruit seamlessly integrated with the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, maybe just a little pinched at the moment (bottle shock?) but it will regain its composure with another year or two in bottle. EXCELLENT. Tasted September 2017."

- 90 Punkte WINE ENTHUSIAST: "The 30% new barrels really show in this toasty, spicy wine. This intense wood aging is saved by the rich underlying fruit that delivers great concentration and blackberry flavors. Given time these will balance with the wood, produce a ripe, fruity wine. Drink from 2021."

- 90 Punkte DECANTER, Stephen Brook: "Although overall the wine is denser than the elegant 2016, the nose is delightful, with fresh and perfumed blackberry aromas, expressing charm and finesse. The attack is suave, leading to a concentrated and fleshy palate, which shows some tannic grip without being too extracted. There’s impressive extract on the long finish. Drinking Window 2021 – 2032"

- 90 Punkte VINOUS Antonio Galloni (Neal Martin): "The 2015 La Fleur de Mothe is a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 12% Petit Verdot. Matured in around 35% new oak, it has a clean, fresh, quite perfumed bouquet with blackberry, raspberry and graphite scents, a touch of violet emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with a fresh, sappy entry. There is good depth here, a gentle grip and feels quite solid and firm, suggesting that it will benefit from a couple of years in bottle. But there is plenty of freshness from start to finish and it will mature well over the next six to eight years."

- 91 Punkte ANTHOCYANES: "Fleur la Mothe is an outstanding wine made by the talented Antoine Medeville. Slightly oaky and perfectly integrated woody notes, the bouquet show luscious blackberry and flowers. Pure and juicy texture, layered and velvety tannins. A GREAT BARGAIN."
