- 96 Punkte WINE ENTHUSIAST, Jeff Jenssen: „This Tokaji is dark amber in color, with aromas of honeysuckle, peach and acacia flower. In the mouth there are flavors of clover honey, pear and baked sweet apples. Acidity is well balanced to the amount of sweetness.“
- 95 Punkte DECANTER, Caroline Gilby: „A late ripening year with an 'Aszú miracle' appearing from mid-September onwards, giving beautifully concentrated Aszú berries with intense botrytis but also great acidity. It’s still a real baby, showing creamy vanilla aromas with ripe pear, acacia and peach. It’s luscious and silky with lovely purity and superb intensity of quince and honey, and fine acids to give balance. A very lingering finish. Drinking Window 2020 – 2035“

The acidity is so searingly pure, fine, focused that the sweetness of the wine is almost hidden. Like tasting apricot purée made from fruit picked straight from the tree, nothing else. There is such purity and exquisite clarity to this wine that it's almost, almost, painful. Cleansing! An absolution.“

- 92 Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, Neal Martin: "Tasted at the Disznóko vertical in London, the 2011 Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos is 100% Furmint (Aszu grapes). It has an expressive and focused, bouquet, spice and dried honey, white flowers and candle wax. The palate is classic in style and actually almost Sauternes-like. It is certainly very well balanced and minerally, gently caressing the mouth with a linear finish that lingers nice. There is a little nuttiness here and a pleasing salinity coming through with continued aeration. This is lovely in a more understated Tokaji style. Tasted September 2016."

- 96 Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, Neal Martin: "Tasted at the Disznoko tasting in London, the 2011 Tokaji Aszu Kapi Vineyard 6 Puttonyos is an absolutely startling wine, frankly one of the best that I have tasted from the estate. It certainly surpasses my expectations given the bottle that I rated almost a year ago. This is their third single vineyard release following the 1999 and 2005 and having picked earlier, I feel this approach completely enhances the wine. It has a showstopping, crystalline bouquet that shimmers: Japanese yuzu, citrus fruit and an underlying stoniness (none of that chlorine tang that I picked up last time). The palate has a fabulous line of acidity running from start to finish: tensile, poised and with just a dab of white peach and nectarine on the mineral-rich finish. This is a fantastic Tokaji that should be a joy to drink for many years. Tasted September 2016."

- 95 Punkte WINESPECTATOR, Bruce Sanderson: "A laser beam of honey, apple tart, orange peel and beeswax aromas and flavors marks this linear dessert white, which is elegant and concentrated, staying nimble and long on the acid-driven finish. This is incredibly fresh and mouthwatering, with a lingering aftertaste of mineral. Better than previously reviewed. Drink now through 2024."

Niepoort Vintage Port 2019 @ 85,00 €
- 96 Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, Mark Squires: „The 2019 Vintage Port is a field blend from old vines (80 to 100 years old) aged for 21 months in large Portuguese oak vats. It comes in with 88 grams per liter of residual sugar and 19.3% alcohol. This was seen about three months after bottling. In its own notes, the winery says it emphasized balance and elegance, and that is certainly a fitting summary of this wine. Let's not forget, though, the appealing aromatics laced with some eucalyptus and the grip on the finish. Plus, the texture is sensual and caressing on the palate. Then, the fruit adds waves of flavor. This finishes with some power and pop, making it a good candidate for the cellar. The tannins are not too hard, though, and they are nicely controlled. Its freshness will also serve it in good stead as it ages. If there's a quibble, it most certainly is not the most concentrated Niepoort ever. Everything else is super, however. This should have good aging potential and the ability to improve more. It's worth noting that on the first day tasted, this was good but not great. A couple of days later, it was far more impressive, still tight, precise and focused. This is not quite on the level of the 2017, which had better fruit in my view, but it is a good example of what the winery can do. There were 39,754 bottles produced, plus some half bottles and larger formats.“
