- 97 Punkte JAMES SUCKLING: "A neoclassical edition of Grand-Puy-Lacoste, this has cedar, graphite, deeply integrated cedar and spicy-oak influence and a very fresh array of ripe blackberries, dark cherries and cassis. The palate is so seamless. It builds beautifully and delivers a long, seamless array of perfectly ripe dark fruit, swathed in fine, firm, ascending layers of tannins. As good as we have seen in recent vintages, THIS IS A STAR OF THE VINTAGE. Try from 2024."

- 95 Punkte FALSTAFF, Peter Moser: "Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Etwas scheu im Bukett, zart nach Cassis und Minze, frische Herzkirschen, ein Hauch von Orangenzesten. Mittlere Komplexität, saftig und süß, charmante Textur, reife, tragende Tannine im Hintergrund, bleibt sehr gut haften, ein delikater Begleiter bei Tisch."

- 95 Punkte VINOUS, Antonio Galloni: "The 2015 Grand Puy Lacoste is just as compelling from bottle as it was from barrel. Sensual, polished and refined, the 2015 is all class. Silky tannins, perfumed aromatics and beautifully delineated fruit are some of the signatures. The natural richness of the year comes through nicely, but without overpowering the wine's mid-weight sense of structure. This is a fabulous example of the year."

- 95 Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, Neal Martin: "The 2015 Grand-Puy-Lacoste was an impressive Pauillac from barrel and likewise, it continues to impress in bottle. It has an intense bouquet with blackberry and strawberry fruit laced with cedar and graphite and as I mentioned in my original note, the Merlot component is a little more expressive compared to other vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin and well-judged acidity. This feels so harmonious and caressing, very tensile and poised, fanning out wonderfully with a graphite-infused finish that is perhaps more approachable than recent vintages, just a wonderful wine for long-term aging. 2022-2050."

- 95 Punkte INTERNATIONAL WINEREPORT: "Composed of 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc the 2015 Grand Puy Lacoste dazzles from the very start. Aromatics of ripe cherries and blackberries come together with spices, graphite and a touch of fresh floral which fill the glass. This beautifully made Pauillac continues to impress with its with wonderful structure and outstanding overall balance and depth. THIS IS A GORGEOUS WINE which will thrive in the cellar for many years to come."

- 94 Punkte DECANTER, Jane Anson: "I love this from the first nose. … an exceptionally good Pauillac in the vintage. There’s black fruits, firm tannins, excellent graphite and slate notes and touches of liquorice with clear depth and length. Very good quality, and carefully extracted, it goes gently into the night. 75% new oak. Drinking Window 2025 – 2040"

- 17,5 Punkte JANCIS ROBINSON: "Tasted blind. Fragrant. Cool and zesty and very well put together. Really quite refined and fresh. Not trying to be a blockbuster but the balance is superb."

- RENE GABRIEL: "Sattes, dunkles Weinrot mit violettem Schimmer. Das Bouquet zeigt von Beginn weg eine bemerkenswerte Tiefe, Edelhölzer, Tabak und darüber ein reife, ausladende Fruchtnote. Er braucht Luft und legt in der Folge zu. Im Gaumen fleischig mit stoffigem Extrakt. Er weist eine ausgeglichene Adstringenz auf und deutet auf ein langes Leben hin. Alles ist royal und er hat etwas mehr Finessen wie Power. Eher ein beruhigender Klassiker. Den hatte ich in dieser Blindprobe als Franzosen erkannt."

- JEB DUNNUCK: "The 2015 Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is another classic wine that shines for its elegance, balance, and sheer class. Offering medium-bodied notes of crème de cassis, crushed flowers, new leather, and ample tobacco, it has good tension and concentration, a fresh, tight texture, and outstanding length. It has some upside and will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age, at which point it should drink nicely for two decades or more."

Dieser bekannte Pauillac Chateau Grand Puy Lacoste hatte ich selbst jahrelang nicht richtig „auf dem Radar“. In letzter Zeit habe ich jedoch Weine dieses Gutes immer wieder genießen können. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Weine in den letzten Jahren noch präziser, kraftvoller und besser geworden sind. Und doch ist das Weingut selbst in warmen Jahrgängen seinem klassischem Pauillac Stil treu geblieben ist, mit erfreulicher Mittelgewichtigkeit, mit Frische, Struktur, Langlebigkeit, Balance, Trinkfluß und stets gut zu einem Essen genießbar.
