- Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, Lisa Perrotti-Brown: "A barrel sample blended of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals scents of dried roses, kirsch and black cherries with touches of bay leaves and fallen leaves. Medium-bodied with bright red and black fruits and a chewy backbone, it finishes with a lively herbal lift. 7,440 cases are estimated to be made."
- 94 Punkte VINOUS, Antonio Galloni: "The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and boisterous in feel, with good energy and terrific balance for the year. Sweet floral notes, blood orange and spice add shades of nuance to a core of dark red berry fruit. More than anything else, though, I am very pleasantly surprised by the wine's freshness and overall energy."
- 94 Punkte JAMES SUCKLING: "Aromas of currants, blackberries and violets follow through to a medium body and firm, tight tannins that give it length and structure. This needs time to soften. Better after 2022."
- 94 Punkte DECANTER, Jane Anson: "A classic Napa Cabernet, smooth and rich, softly spoken with swirls of black fruits and gentle spice. This will age but there is no need to wait too long as the sides are already smoothed out. A great entry point to Rubicon, showing how carefully Inglenook walks the line between richly powerful concentrated Cabernet and a fresher lean style of wine. No trace of over ripeness or the smoke that impacted the very end of the picking. Tasted twice. 95ha estate on a huge, almost 700ha estate. Philippe Bascaules director of winemaking. 50% new oak. Blend completed with 1% Petit Verdot. Drinking Window 2022 - 2036."

|Notizen des Weinguts:||Vintage Notes In 1995, The Coppola Family reunited the historic Inglenook property, creating a Cabernet Sauvignon that epitomized the legacy of the estate. Now, Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon continues to be a tribute to the historic world-renowned Inglenook 1941 Cabernet Sauvi - gnon. The 1941 vintage was produced by John Daniel, Jr. from vines brought to the Ingle - nook Estate from Bordeaux by the Founder Gustave Niebaum. Today, this estate-grown wine is blended with the best lots of Cabernet Sauvignon that remain after the highly selec - tive blending of Rubicon. Winemaker’s Tasting Notes The 2014 vintage of Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon reflects a very pure composition that contains only small amounts of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and just a touch of Merlot. From this outstanding year emerges a smooth, generous palate with very fine dusty tannins and exemplary balance. As weighty and voluptuous as its predecessor, the flavors and fragrance of this vintage lean more heavily toward black fruits and seasoned wood. Cassis, blackberries, plums, and black currants provide juicy, mouthfilling flavors while distinct notes of cigar box, oak, graphite, and earthy spices create aromatic accents that are bound to evolve and become even more intense with bottle age. Yet, impressive density and texture already create ample allure.|
