The Paradis Lieu-Dit is located just outside of Mauve and is a mix of granite, loess and alluvial soils. Cassis, blackcurrants, crushed rocks, peppery herbs and earth all give way to a medium to full-bodied, concentrated, structured yet still elegant Saint Joseph. It shows the vintage’s forward, charming style, yet will be at its best with short-term cellaring."

- 92-94 Punkte VINOUS Antonio Galloni: "(from Mauves; 15% new oak) Youthful purple. Mineral-accented cassis and blueberry on the highly perfumed nose; peppery spice and floral notes build in the glass. Densely packed but lively dark berry preserve flavors show hints of smoky bacon and candied violet and pick up an allspice quality with air. Stains the palate and shows very good concentration but no excess weight. Finishes with vibrant mineral cut, slow-building tannins and strong, spicy persistence."

Notizen des Weinguts: SOIL Plot situate in the heart of Saint - Joseph AOC in Mauves. Steep slopes with different kind of soils (alluvions, granit and loess ). VINIFICATION Grapes are destemmed. Maceration in concrete vats (for a better thermic inertia) for about 4 weeks (depending on the vintage). Extraction made by pumping over and punching down. AGEING The barrel ageing lasts for 12 to 14 months in oak ( 10 % new oak). TASTING Colour: deep ruby colour Nose: Very intense nose with spicy note and blackberry aromas. Palate: dense structure, with blackberry aromas and spices. Very long lasting wine.
