- 96 Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, Neal Martin: "Tasted at the Disznoko tasting in London, the 2011 Tokaji Aszu Kapi Vineyard 6 Puttonyos is an absolutely startling wine, frankly one of the best that I have tasted from the estate. It certainly surpasses my expectations given the bottle that I rated almost a year ago. This is their third single vineyard release following the 1999 and 2005 and having picked earlier, I feel this approach completely enhances the wine. It has a showstopping, crystalline bouquet that shimmers: Japanese yuzu, citrus fruit and an underlying stoniness (none of that chlorine tang that I picked up last time). The palate has a fabulous line of acidity running from start to finish: tensile, poised and with just a dab of white peach and nectarine on the mineral-rich finish. This is a fantastic Tokaji that should be a joy to drink for many years. Tasted September 2016."

It is made only when the Kapi Vineyard distinctively expresses its own personality and with only the most perfect Furmint aszú berries from this parcel. An extremely limited number of bottles in very few vintages (to date only 2011, 2005 & 1999 released)." Kapi is a single vineyard plot situated in the upper part (150 – 180 m above sea level) of the southern slopes of Disznóko. A unique terroir with a volcanic, lighter clay soil containing a lot of rhyolite gravels. Kapi Vineyard is planted with Furmint, the noblest and most ancient Tokaj variety. Its special character: Furmint mirrors the terroir. The grapes ripen late and easily become aszú berries, retaining excellent acidity. Pale golden with greenish hints to deep amber depending on its age. Hints of honey, citrus, pear and lime flowers. The Disznóko Kapi Vineyard Tokaji Aszú 6 puttonyos radiates sunshine. Focused and pure, a perfectly balanced wine. It has fresh but ripe acidity with a clear mineral character. The ripening came very early but botrytisation was slow and limited due to a lack of humidity. The quality of the aszú berries was exceptional: great concentration from extreme passerillage, or shrivelling. This dryness meant we made the lowest proportion of Eszencia ever for the estate!
