Notizen des Weinguts:
The wine is well structured with a dense and velvety tannic structure, aromas of red fruits (wild strawberries, raspberries, blackberries), woody notes (licorice, cloves, cocoa beans) and minerality.
- 93 Punkte, Markus Del Moneg, The tasting book: „Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Traditionnal style with elegant fruit, dark berries and black stone fruit, backed by mild spices, vanilla and fine toasting aroma. On the palate well structured with lush fruit, dark chocolate and mild spices, presenting a fresh finish with a very good length.“
- 92-94 Punkte FALSTAFF, Peter Moser: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart nussig unterlegte feine Edelholzwürze, Brombeeren und Cassis, zarte tabakige Note. Saftig, reife schwarze Kirschen und Pflaumen, integrierte reife Tannine, etwas Nougat im Abgang, gute Länge, sicheres Reifepotenzial, feine Röstaromen im Nachhall."
- 90-92 Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOACTE, Lisa Perrotti-Brown: "Sporting a deep purple-black color, the 2020 Taillefer leaps from the glass with exuberant notes of black cherry preserves, boysenberries and prunes, plus wafts of camphor, cardamom and espresso with a touch of bouquet garni. The medium to full-bodied palate has lovely freshness lifting all that rich, black fruit, supported by grainy tannins and finishing on a lingering savory note."
- 92 Punkte JAMES SUCKLING, Zekun Shuai: "Fresh, spiced plums, cassis and a hint of mushroom and graphite to the nose. The medium-bodied palate shows good crunch and firm tannins. Pretty long, spicy and linear. 85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc. Drink now."
- 90 Punkte DECANTER, Jane Anson: "This is on the lighter side, with unfussy Pomerol ripe fruits and rich juices running through the mid palate. A little soft on the finish, given focus by aniseed and sweet almond flavours. A yield of 35hl/ha. Located right next to Libourne on sand, gravel and clay soils, owned by Bernard Moueix since 2013. Drinking Window 2023 – 2034"

Notizen des Weinguts: | THE VINTAGE 2020 is a year marked by a rainy spring followed by an exceptionally dry and cool summer that lasted until the harvest (not a drop of rain from June 19 to September 21). This climate was favorable for the development of small grapes concentrated in elegant tannins and with a crunchy fruit. Vinified and aged in all simplicity, the wine is dense, complex and elegant, and its aging potential is remarkable. |
