- VINOUS, Antonio Galloni: "These new releases from Pierre Lurton’s Marjosse estate highlight the personality of single blocks on the property and signal a shift towards more ambitious wines. It’s a propitious start to be sure."

- JANCIS ROBINSON; Julia Harding: "A blend of old gnarled Sémillon vines, Sauvignon Blanc and Gris planted on clay-limestone soil: one-third of each variety. Vines 45–70 years old. 12 months in barrels (300 litres, 400 litres and 600-litre demi-muids), no new wood.
Subtle, even quiet, on the nose, though it is more open on the day after opening so it definitely needs aeration in youth. There's fresh pear, a touch of oak spice, a gentle mealiness and maybe just a tiny hint of spring blossom. Bone dry and more savoury on the palate, some herbal notes and a creamy/lees texture but no creamy sweetness, in fact it is more sour/salty. Distinctive, elegant, with a very slight grip on the finish. The absolute opposite of a commercial wine in all its subtle savour. Not particularly intense on the mid palate – which I would have expected with these older vines – but it has very good persistence."

Notizen des Weinguts: This cuvée is the result of a blend of old gnarled ceps from Sémillon , Sauvignon Blanc and Gris planted on clay-limestone soil. Tasting Notes : The first nose is distinguished by fine toasted notes, without excess. Airing reveals notes of gingerbread. The palate is round and smooth, balanced by a fine acidity. The finish is marked by notes of tropical fruits and a good persistence. Tasting Notes by wine critic Jean Marc Quarin : « Coup de coeur » for this discovery. This cuvée brings us to the top of white wines in Bordeaux. Very careful viticulture. Slow pressing where only the heart is are preserved. Fermentation and aging in oak casks, barrels of 300 and 600 liters, for 12 months. (…) Bravo! Everyone knows that Marjosse is the property of Pierre Lurton, who manages Cheval Blanc and Yquem. Since 2018, he and his team have been doing a great job there. which remains the one of the Guinaudeau family (Lafleur) with the whites. ” Blend : 1/3 Sémillon, 1/3 Sauvignon gris, 1/3 Sauvignon blanc Appellation : AOC Bordeaux white Age of vines : 40 to 75 years old Number of bottles : 5,000 Type of soil : clay-limestone Pruning system : « double guyot » Yield : 45 hl / ha Aging : 12 months, 100% in barrels (300 liters, 400 liters and 600-liter demi-muids), no new wood
