Lynch Bages
Die Wurzeln von Chateau Lynch Bages gehen zurück bis ins 16. Jahrhundert. Seit 1939 ist das Chateau im Besitz der Familie Cazes. 2007 übernahm Jean-Charles das Familienunternehmen und leitete eine umfassende Renovierung ein.
Aber auch im Weinberg kommt modernste Technik zum Einsatz: Ab 2006 wurden die Weinberge des Chateaus mit Hilfe von Satellitendaten untersucht und das Potenzial jeder einzelnen Parzelle ausgewertet. Aus den ursprünglich 90 Parzellen wurden so 200 Unterparzellen, die nun entsprechend bestockt und eingeordnet werden.
Insgesamt sind die Weinberge mit 71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc und 3% Petit Verdot bestockt.

Nach der Handlese werden die Trauben entrappt und mehrfach sortiert und gelangen ohne Pumpen in die temperaturkontrollierten Gärtanks. Die Weine reifen dann für 18 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern, wovon 75% neu sind.
Auf Chateau Lynch Bages, im alten Fasslager, hat man trotz aller Technik einen selten gewordenen Anblick: hier findet man noch einige traditionelle Arbeitsgeräte und einen Boden aus Latten, der zur Nutzung der Gravitation bei der Traubenverarbeitung diente.
