- 94 Punkte VINOUS, Antonio Galloni: "The 2019 Les Gravières a wine of tremendous distinction, and A MAJOR SLEEPER. Ripe red cherry, rose petal, spice, crushed rocks, menthol and licorice are all finely sculpted. Readers will find a deep, mineral-driven Saint-Émilion of real distinction. The purity and vivid delineation of the flavors is just remarkable. Tasted two times. 2027-2039."

- 92-94 Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, Lisa Perrotti-Brown: "Sporting a deep garnet-purple color, the 2019 Les Gravieres opens slowly with subtle notions of stewed plums, baked black cherries and mulberries giving way to emerging scents of black tea, cracked pepper, cedar chest and tobacco leaf. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a solid structure of firm, ripe, rounded tannins and tons of freshness framing the tightly wound black fruit layers, finishing on a mineral note."

- 92 Punkte Jeff Leve WINE CELLAR INSIDER: “It is always a good sign with a wine shows much better in the bottle than it did from the barrel, this wine has put on a lot of weight during covid, as now the wine has much more volume. Rich, round, lush and deep, the fruits are dark, ripe and polished. The wine is still a bit oaky, so it needs to better integrate to allow all of its black cherries, plums, flowers and spice to come through its espresso tinged surface. But give it a few years in the cellar and this is going to be a treat in your glass. Drink from 2034-2035.“

- 92 Punkte JEB DUNNUCK: “All Merlot, the 2019 Château Les Gravières is showing beautifully from bottle and offers a deeper, darker fruited style as well as wonderful darker cherry and currants fruits, notes of chocolaty herbs tobacco, medium to full body, background oak, and a great finish. This mouth-filling, concentrated, impressive Saint-Emilion shows the balance and class of the vintage and will keep for 15-20 years. 2022-2042.”

- 92 Punkte JAMES SUCKLING: „A fragrant nose of black fruit, blackcurrants, violets, dried herbs, cloves and nutmeg. Medium-to full-bodied with chewy tannins. Fleshy, with a meaty core of spiced dark fruit and a compact finish. Try from 2024.“

92 Punkte The Wine Independent Lisa Perrotti-Brown: “The 2019 Les Gravieres is 100% Merlot. Deep garnet-purple, it opens with captivating scents of fragrant earth, black truffles, and juicy black cherries, leading to a core of plum preserves, licorice, and sandalwood. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a solid backbone of ripe, rounded tannins and a lively line lifting the generous fruit, finishing long and mineral-tinged.“

- 92 Punkte Yves Beck: „Filigree, fruity bouquet with notes of cherries and blackberries. Tasty and juicy attack. The wine has vitality, freshness, tight and perfectly integrated tannins. A wine of character with a thirst-quenching side but also potential. You just have to know how to resist it... well, if you want to! 2024-2036.“

- Schweizerische Weinzeitung: “Powerful bouquet, lots of cherry, blackberries, delicate herbs. Good density, juicy, youthful tannins, fine acidity, red berry fruit, sour cherries, delicate herbs in the finish, good length. 2026-2032.“
