Beschreibung

Dieses Weingut gehört Pierre Lafon, der ebenfalls Chateau Lafon la Tuilerie sein Eigen nennt. Der Weinberg befindet sich in Saint Andre du Bois, an einem Südhang und mit Lehm-Kalk-Böden. Nur 3,5 ha sind es, was dem Winzer die Möglichkeit sich besonders gut um die Reben zu kümmern. Das kann man eindeutig erschmecken! Die Cuvée setzt sich aus 40 % Merlot, 30 % Cabernet Franc und 30 % Cabernet Sauvignon zusammen.
Önologe Stephane Toutondji (Konsulent für über 50 Güter, davon auch 4 Grands Crus Classés) sagt über den Winzer Pierre Lafon: "The way he strives for perfection and questions every detail has made his wines superb since 2005. He makes my job a pleasure with his unique outlook on winemaking and he has achieved in 10 years what some would take 50 years to do."

Notizen des Weinguts:	THE SITUATION Pierre Lafon’s vineyard is located in Saint André du Bois on south facing clay chalk soils. A micro-property of around 3.50 hectares and this allows the winemaker to tend to every vine with the utmost care. The attention taken shines through in every bottle as Pierre Lafon makes his wine with the concentration and class of the most expensive wines in Bordeaux. THE WINEMAKER Pierre Lafon is one of a kind in his knowledge and the attention he gives to his vines. We suspect that he has probably given most of them at least a first name! He also owns the even smaller Château Lafon la Tuilerie in Saint Emilion Grand Cru which has received 19/20 from Rene Gabriel 3 years in a row!
