- 92-94 Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, Lisa Perrotti-Brown: "Deep purple-black colored, the 2020 Gazin rolls effortlessly out of the glass with upfront scents of baked black plums, stewed black cherries and mulberries, plus hints of spice cake, chocolate box and cracked black pepper. The medium to full-bodied palate has a solid backbone of firm, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness supporting the muscular black fruits, finishing savory."
- 90-92 Punkte VINOUS, Antonio Galloni: "The 2020 Lafleur-Gazin is a bruiser. Inky blackberry fruit, charcoal, game, licorice, spice and leather open first, followed by a blast of acid and tannin that states the wine's assertive personality. There is good depth and substance, even if the tannins remain pretty burly."
- 92-94 Punkte FALSTAFF, Peter Moser: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Ockerrandaufhellung. Rote Kirschen, ein Hauch von frischen Pflaumen, floraler Touch nach Hibiskus, Orangenzesten sind unterlegt, helle Schokolade klingt an. Saftig, reife Herzkirschen, gute Frische, intgerierte reife Tannine, salzig-mineralisch unterlegter Abgang, bereits harmonisch, zarte Röstaromen im Nachhall, zeigt gute Länge."
- 91 Punkte DECANTER, Jane Anson: "A seductive but slightly held back feel, this has an attractive frame and plenty of raspberry, coffee and tobacco grilled fruits and spice. Enjoyable although doesn't totally escape the effects of a dry summer, there is some closing down and tightness of the tannins, balanced out by a burst of fresh mint which lifts the palate on the finish. Enjoyable. Harvest September 14 to 21. Drinking Window 2023 – 2038"
- 92-94+ Punkte JEB DUNNUCK: "Deep purple-hued, with a brilliant nose of blueberries, black cherries, damp earth, chocolate, and flowers, the 2020 Château Lafleur-Gazin is medium to full-bodied and has a wonderful mid-palate, building tannins, and a great finish. One big, rich, dense Pomerol, it’s going to handsomely reward bottle age. Give bottles a solid 5-6 years and it should keep for two decades or more."
- 92-93 Punkte JAMES SUCKLING: "Such gorgeous aromas of blackberries, blueberries and crushed stones. Fresh flowers, too. Medium-bodied with fine tannins and a clean, round-textured finish."

Notizen des Weinguts: | Situated on the northern edge of the plateau of Pomerol, nestled between Château Gazin and Château La Fleur-Pétrus, this wine has been produced by Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix since 1976 for the Borderie family, owners since 1930. The Merlot vines (averaging 30 years of age), are planted on gravel and clay. The Cabernet Franc is planted on silt soils, which encourage a nuanced and full expression of this varietal’s character. The vineyard management and vinification are carried out traditionally and with great care, producing a plump, supple, fleshy wine with ripe fruit and silky tannins. Eminently approachable, even in its youth, Lafleur-Gazin is a delightful expression of the lighter style of Pomerol wines. |
