- Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, Neal Martin: "The 2016 Cissac has an attractive, quite lively and vivacious bouquet with well defined blackberry and blueberry fruit, commendable mineralité and tension developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, crisp acidity, good grip in the mouth with a focused and quite long finish. This is an excellent contribution to the vintage from Château Cissac and it should be (fingers crossed) good value."

- 92 Punkte und "Cellar Selection" WINE ENTHUSIAST, Roger Voss: "Owned by the Vialard family, this property has produced an impressively dense wine that also has fine fruits. Plenty of acidity sets the wine's course with freshness as well as structure, giving a firm aftertaste while never losing the liveliness. Drink from 2023."

- WINESPECTATOR, James Molesworth: "Textbook, with a core of cassis and dark cherry flavors scored with cast iron and smoldering tobacco notes that linger on the structured finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2020 through 2025. 18,000 cases made."

- 91 Punkte VINOUS, Neal Martin: "The 2016 Cissac has a clean and pure bouquet with blackberry, boysenberry and cedar aromas that blossom in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity, quite precise with a focused, quite vibrant and persistent finish that is very satisfying. This is a great Cissac, a wine that will give 10 to 15 years of drinking pleasure. Tasted at the Oenoconseil tasting room in Bordeaux."

- 92 Punkte FALSTAFF, Peter Moser: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, dezente Randaufhellung, schwarze Kirschen, zart kräuterwürzig, etwas Nougat, tabakig. Saftig, rotbeeriger Touch, feine Tannine, frisch strukturiert, zart nussig, süße Frucht im Abgang, hat Potenzial, schokoladiger Nachhall."

- JANCIS ROBINSON, Richard Hemming: "Precise, focused blackcurrant fruit with a touch of plummy fruit too. Smooth texture, almost full body, slight wisps of smoke on the finish. Has all the classic build of bordeaux, and should develop complexity as that fruit intensity evolves over time."

- 91 Punkte JAMES SUCKLING: "Aromas of blueberries, walnuts and rose petals follow through to a medium to full body, round and juicy tannins and a flavorful finish. A blend of 75 per cent cabernet sauvignon, 20 per cent merlot and five per cent petit verdot. Drink in 2022."
