- 94 Punkte, James Suckling: „Blackcurrant, stewed-blackberry, thyme, bark and licorice aromas. It’s full-bodied with firm, fine tannins and a flavorful finish. It really grows on the palate.“ Layered. Try from 2024.
- 93 Punkte und Verkostungssieger DECANTER, Panel tasting Pessac-Leognan & Graves (04/2024): „Vibrant, elegant aromas meld earthy autumn leaves and dark fruit notes. Pleasantly layered with smoky French oak and lifted red berry hints. A fleshy palate, firm tannins, and chewy mouthfeel concentrated with a high alcohol finish. Needs a decade. Impressive. 2024-2060“
- 93 Punkte, DECANTER Georgina Hindle (12/2022): „Ripe and darkly scented, smells seductive still with some Cabernet aspects at the fore; green pepper, dark chocolate and some baking spices, but the fruit is really doing the talking. Ripe and grippy on the palate, yet this has a refinement, a softness in general where the tannins, though mouthfilling are plush and support the dark fruit. It's a little heady, a touch perfumed and the alcohol is present - it's a bolder style, but still doesn't feel they pushed too much. Mouthwatering acidity is there and so is a creamy, crushed stone aspect too, the saline elements still noticeable giving the terroir effect while the flavours expand outwards. Layered and wide, lots going on here still with freshness and a sense of restraint with a lingering element of liquorice, clove, tobacco and dark chocolate. Wait a while for the tannins to subside but this is very good. 2023-2035“
- 90 VINOUS, Ausgabe : „The 2018 Château Brown is well defined on the nose, offering plenty of black fruit laced with hints of espresso and dark chocolate, and just a faint star anise note hovering on the background. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly gritty tannins on the entry, fins acidity and mice focus. Though it misses some depth and flesh toward the finish, it does have a spring in ist step and it should drink nicely for 12-15 years.“ 2023-2036
