- 94 Punkte Robert Parkers WINE ADVOCATE, William Kelley: „Aromas of raspberries, currants, pencil shavings and sweet spices introduce the 2019 Beychevelle, a medium to full-bodied, supple and enveloping wine that's fleshy and seamless, with a generous core of fruit, ripe tannins and succulent acids, concluding with an expansive finish. This is an open-knit, demonstrative Saint-Julien that will offer a broad drinking window.“

- 94-96 Punkte WINE ENTHUSIAST, Roger Voss: „Barrel Sample. Dense and concentrated, this wine is layered in dark tannins, rich chocolate and black fruits. The estate is producing richer wines than in the past without sacrificing the Saint-Julien style.“

- 93 Punkte WINESPECTATOR, James Molesworth: „Dark, with plum, açaí and blackberry compote notes, this is juicy and expressive. Features racy wood spice, graphite and apple wood notes, which give this a structured feel through the finish. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Best from 2025 through 2038.“

- 92-94 Punkte VINOUS, Antonio Galloni: "The 2019 Beychevelle is a rich, unctuous wine. Blackberry jam, cloves, licorice, bittersweet chocolate and torrefaction infuse the 2019 with tons of darkness that works well with the wine's flamboyant personality. Beychevelle will appeal most to readers who enjoy exotic, super-ripe wines. In 2019, Beychevelle pushes the limits, in my view."

- 95 Punkte FALSTAFF, Peter Moser: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarter Ockerrand. Attraktive schwarze Beerenfrucht, reife Herzkirschen, ein Hauch von Cassis und Edelholz. Saftig, elegant, extraktsüß, feine Pflaumenfrucht, reife, runde Tannine, feines Nougat im Abgang, sehr gute Länge, harmonisch und frisch strukturiert, mit großem Zukunftspotenzial ausgestattet."

- 94 Punkte DECANTER, Jane Anson: "A confident and well expressed Beychevelle, this is bristling with blackberry and cassis fruits, creamy through the mid palate as so many of the best wines are in this vintage. It's broad shouldered which takes it a little out of appellation signature, but the glamour is well balanced by a lovely crushed mint leaf finish. Harvest September 23 to October 10, 55% of production in this main estate wine, 45% in the 2nd wine. 60% new oak. 3% Cabernet Franc completes the blend. Drinking Window 2028 – 2044"

- 17 Punkte JANCIS ROBINSON: "46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot. Barrel sample.
Fragrant and floral on the nose. Plenty of zest and energy on the palate. Smooth, velvety texture. Tannins plentiful but polished. Clean and digeste with a persistent, palate-cleansing finish."

- 96 Punkte JAMES SUCKLING: "Gorgeous aromas of currants, crushed stones, blackberries and flowers. Full-bodied with refined tannins that are long and very polished. Creamy texture. It goes on for minutes. Lovely energy and sophistication to this. Try after 2026.“

Well done, Philippe Blanc!"

- 95 Punkte DECANTER, Georgina Hindle: „Dark nose, quite serious and seductive. This draws you in from the first smell with lovely florality and delicacy. On the palate it's deep and the power is on show no doubt, there's concentration but also such aromatics and purity of fruit with tannins that are gentle and svelte. Lifted the whole way through, good acidity and a subtle creaminess at the end. A well framed, pretty and powerful style. Great winemaking with precision. Drinking Window 2027 – 2045“
