Disgorged at the end of 2014, the wine offers a delicate and intense wild strawberry flavor with some lovely spicy aromas on the nose. Ample, full and round, this is a lovely matured Rosé with a super intense and aromatic Pinot character (sweet cherries, red berries). The finish underlines the great complexity, purity and finesse of this vinous Rosé. There are cherry aromas again in the long aftertaste. An impressive Rosé."

Still a bit tight, the 2006 could use another year or more in bottle to soften. Although light in color, the 2006 packs a pretty serious punch. Hints of orange zest, chalk and white pepper add an attractive upper register on the finish. With time in the glass, the 2006 softens nicely, hinting at a bright future. The first surprise of this cuve, on my first sneak preview prior to its release in early 2015, was its captivating delicacy for both the house and the vintage. The second surprise, following two more years on the lees, is its freeze-frame evolution and elegant freshness. Its medium salmon copper-hue is undeviating, as are its refined rose petal fragrance and wild strawberry, cherry and pink grapefruit flavours, melting seamlessly into a vortex of brioche, pink pepper and ginger, effortlessly capturing a complex array of diverse rose personalities with seamless finesse, at once vivacous, lively, contemplative and complex. Texture is marvellous, at once creamy and vibrant, all the while projecting pronounced yet seamless chalk minerality as the defining theme. A delightful champagne for long conversations on cool nights."

Notizen des Weinguts: A GENEROUS HARVEST DESPITE EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS In 2006, the winter was cold with abundant snowfall. Following a period of spring dotted with several violent storms in May, the summer started with stifling heat. Whereas July reached new highs in temperature, August was rainy and cold. This alternation of cold and hot, followed by a spell of dry weather in September, was particularly fruitful for maturing the grapes and the smooth harvest. Discovering it is not simple... But it shows itself to those who understand it. TO THE EYE A beautiful pale pink hue with amber glints reminiscent of the colour of an apricot, enhanced by discrete, pearly bubbles and incomparable finesse. ON THE NOSE Highly fragrant, the intense nose immediately announces the strength and firmness of this great rosé wine. Aromas of strawberry jam and candied fruit, mingled with perfumes of mild spices such as cinnamon, honey, cardamom and pink praline. ON THE PALATE The silky, voluptuous texture is reminiscent of fig tart and sophisticated pastries. Spiced notes unfold with a warm, well-rounded finish, underlined by notes of tea and red berries.
