- JEB DUNNUCK: "Light red fruits, spice, iodine, dried herbs and lots of salinity emerge from the 2015 Pinot Noir Bien Nacido Vineyard, and it's lightly textured, elegant and silky on the palate, with high quality, present tannin. Mostly destemmed (there's 35% stems) and aged 15 months in 20% new French oak, it needs 2-3 years of bottle age to really shows at its best, and should keep nicely for a decade. During my visit, Gavin poured this wine to show what he considered to be a classic expression of the vintage."

|Notizen des Weinguts:||This Bien Nacido is still comprised of the original vines that we signed a long term lease on back in 2008. It is composed of older vines with younger vines interplanted between them on heavy gravel soils. The fruit was harvested on September 3 and 6, at 23 brix. We used 45% whole-cluster in the fermentation, which gives the wine great spice and aromatics. After moving the grapes into tank, they then underwent a four-day cold-soak and were punched-down twice daily. Following fermentation, the wine was pressed and put into French oak barrels (15% new).
